Dalhousie Castle Hotel

Clean original accommodation with excellent staff and amazing location in the grounds down to the river. Well laid out and large rooms with a lovely view to the gardens, food outstanding.

Very easy to get from Edinburgh airport, just 30 km. Magnificent location, top-notch suite with a lovely view and evening cocktails plus the tea.

Stunning setting, it's close to "The Orangery " restaurant, a terrace restaurant with a view of the green foliage to the south on the property, Bonnyrigg and surrounding gardens. The breakfast has great options: slices of fresh bread and cakes.

It met requests, had an awesome stay for a wedding & overnight stay. Everything was good at this characterful hotel. This accommodation was in the central location separate to the castle.

Competent staff and perfect location on surrounding attractions, everything was very comfortable. We had an adequate meal in the morning and some great food at the library bar.

The units are themed, beautifully decorated with an uninterrupted view of the grounds.

Make sure you stay in the superior double room with balcony. The location it offers is great and brilliant, next to a local restaurant, and Bonnyrigg. Moreover, the hotel is close to Courtfield Gardens.

My room included iron/ironing board, a work desk, and a TV set with satellite channels.

Greatly enjoyed my time here. Property was luxury, with amiable staff and amazing location in the Tower in Dalhousie. Everything was really good, and the breakfast was fantastic and adequate for fried egg. The ambience felt really unique and the service was good. Besides, I was able to park onsite.

The superior double room was functional with very comfortable beds. This hotel had a central position in a Scottish castle. Also, Harmondsworth Moor was 4 km away. Breads and cakes for our breakfast where lovely.

The staff were very friendly efficient, and the room was beautifully decorated with a 4 poster bed. The provided service was very good. Besides, we parked the car on-site.

Brand-new and themed room with a lovely view to the gardens. Quiet and picturesque location in the particularly good area, very close to an 850 yr old castle and Edinburgh center and Waverly Station. Plenty of food options within easy walking distance of the venue.

Had well decorated room with private bathroom and a terrace and a vaulted ceiling. The hotel was in a lovely location, before in the Library. The library bar was great and the drinks were soft.

Simply stunning & original hotel, stunning location in the Scottish hills, amiable stuff. Fantastic breakfast choices with the slowest ever toaster, meat, an amazing view to the river Esk, unique atmosphere. Smooth check-in, generally good service. The spa centre worked very well.

Stunning location close to the forest and surrounding farmland, reception/car park/restaurant and gorgeous greenery. Very pretty and breathtaking room with the best bathroom and an electric kettle, central heating, and an iron. Slices of fresh bread and cakes - great breakfast...

The whole place was fairly clean and the staff were extremely hospitable. Stocked and reasonably priced room with complementary bottle of champagne welcome was enjoyable. Overall the service was very good!

Incredible location for our needs, very close to the lovely library and Edinburgh center and Waverly Station.

The restaurant was spectacular with a great menu, I tried special dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the central location and the room was well laid out and extremely pleasant.

We ate at a nice restaurant with quite a technical menu and smallish portions.

The location was unbeatable there, in the wood-paneled library.

Awesome central location, close enough to Dalhousie Castle for two days days and nights as well as church that was in film Davinci code. Perfect fresh bread and cakes supplied.

Historic area, central location next to a beautiful castle, Edinburgh by park and ride or train, and the wood-paneled library. Having a seating area, ironing facilities, and a writing desk in our large and compact room.

There where really nice beds and iron/ironing board, a work desk, and a TV set with satellite channels inside the room. The location of the hotel was excellant, to the castle at 9pm.

Everything was second to none, very good service, stunning location so close to such a beautiful historic castle. The staff were extremely hospitable and knowledgeable, had a great attitude. The whole experience was really amazing from start to finish, recommend.

we had a wonderful experience. everything was very good, fairly clean hotel, great and beautiful location in the lovely library. the rooms were good sized and airy, the food was outstanding. the breakfast included fresh bread and cakes and was absolutely fantastic.
