The hotel was reasonably large and facilities were excellent, it had marvellous and quiet location really close to main centre and Edinburgh.

Excellent breakfasts with excellent coffee, pastries, cheeses. Nice and unbeatable location right in the centre of Edinburgh and easy access to the main shopping centre and a mall.

An electric kettle, central heating, and a TV inside the standard room were handy. It had very comfy beds and a marvellous view of garden. The staff was welcoming and provided excellent service.

The hotel staff was impersonal.

The breakfast is excellent with plenty of things to eat and drink.

The rooms were nice and beautiful, it was clean and reasonably large venue. Exceptional service was provided here. We could park on-site.

Excellent breakfast choice with pastries and toast and refills. What an excellant location in the rooms rather than in the common area! Based just off the city centre as well as Royal Mile.

Tbh, had a decent stay for a wonderful weekend. Great breakfast, best ever had, with black pudding, pastries, excellent coffee. The location was marvellous and lovely, close to Craigmillar Park Church. The area was lovely adjacent to good transport links, and Princes Street.

It is a quiet property located in Newington district next to town center as well as major sights.

I truly enjoyed the hotel overall. Had decent stay for a wonderful weekend, the staff were lovely, location was convenient near a big road with good links to the city center. The bedroom was comfy and beautiful.

Warm stay, we were there for 3 days. The hotel was perfect and quiet and placed in an elegant-style building. Generally everything was great, nevertheless the bathroom was a bit small. The service was exceptional, including a great breakfast with home-baked bread and black pudding and pastries.

Place was exceptionally clean, everything was very comfortable. Overall it was spotless, with a shared bathroom. The hotel's location was good, so close to various attractions and Close to bus stop. Also, Ladybower Reservoir was only 1 km away.

This is a charming old hotel in a spotlessly clean building. The breakfast is sensational with home-baked bread and the location is perfect! The venue is perfectly located and near the busstop, and a day ticket costing less than £5. There's Costa Coffee offering takeout within easy walking distance of the venue.

Everything was very comfortable, including polite staff and peaceful location near the center. Our room was spacious and huge with superb powerful shower, just what was needed.

The hotel was clean perfectly located in lovely area really close to Edinburgh during the Wintertime, a 4star establishment and many activities. The service was exceptional, we had a great breakfast with pastries, refills and excellent coffee. The location was great, just 5 min walk from Prestonfield Golf Club.

Tourist destinations like commonwealth pool were adjacent to this place. Plenty of options for one night. The airport was 15 km away.
