So glad we chose it, spent 1 really enjoyable days here. We booked a functional classic family room with a rich vegetarian breakfast. Really enjoyed our time here.

Well, the views were not bad here.

Extremely convenient and charming old place if you stay for one night. Classic room is newly remodelled, has a nice looking bathroom. This hotel is perfectly located close to a bus stop. It is in a downstairs lounge area. Good value, you're getting very good service. Besides, guests can park cars off site.

The staff is smart and excellent, makes sure that the place is fairly clean.

The hotel is perfectly located really close to Christmas market, the main tourist attractions and both Waverley train station. The breakfast is great value and varied with local dishes, the view of Princess Street and scrambled eggs, there’s an option for each taste. The stuff are nice and very polite people at reception desk.

All I could ask for, good value. Everything was good during 3 days, greatly enjoyed its marvellous and brilliant location adjacent to the centre of Princess Street and trams n yobbos. The room was neat and compact and with a decent view.

Regarding price, think it's good value, had a very good stay with customer service.

Nice warm bedroom. Absolutely breathtaking view of the castle and gardens, a shower and hand soap in the bathroom. Absolutely incredible location in a very convenient area just off Stockbridge market, around 15-20 minutes which is worth a visit and Near to most tourist attractions.

It is perfectly located 1 km away from Royal Mile. It is near other parts of Scotland, great restaurants and Glasgow, Hamilton or other places, we enjoyed the view of the old town.

The breakfast of the hotel restaurant was good value for money and varied with food replenished quickly. Truly enjoyed staying at the good-sized and recently renovated classic family room with views of edinburgh castle. The location was great, close to a train station and easy to find. Also, the area was downstairs lounge.

The hotel was perfectly situated just next door to CASTLE AND SCOT, restaurant for dinner, and train station and local buses and trams. Also, Royal Mile was not far.

Great and lovely setting in the downstairs lounge area, really close to both Waverley train station, the tram came trundling along at 6am, never got a wink of sleep all night and the centre of new town Edinburgh.

Everything was good, personnel was polite and very polite. We ate in the particularly good restaurant for breakfast which was reasonably priced. Very central location of this old-fashioned hotel was a bonus. Furthermore, the area was comfortable.

Reasonably priced place, had a very nice stay at here for three nights. We ate at a very pleasant restaurant for dinner. It was perfectly positioned for easy access to a spirelike Victorian memorial.

The vegetarian breakfast was rich, had a great selection of options. The check-in was quick, we enjoyed lobby bar. The location of the hotel was marvellous - a 10-15 minute walk from Co-op Food. Moreover, it was in front of monuments and a castle.

Had classic room with wake-up service available in it. The location was marvellous and easy for walking around St Andrew Square.

We were there for 1 day, everything was perfect, liked its marvellous and brilliant location short walk to the train station, and railway and views of castle, Scott's monument and gallery. Our classic double room was complete with fresh shampoo and an extremely old bathroom plus nice warm water: )

The room was new-fashioned, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, huge bathroom. It was surely a such great stay on our Edinburgh visit.

Plus, the location is unbeatable and brilliant, minutes from a national portrait gallery. It's in the pretty nice area which is another bonus.

Truly enjoyed this hotel, had good experience. Our room had the great views. Adjacent to the downtown, 10 minutes on foot. For lunch or dinner go to Cranston's Restaurant, located short walk from the venue.

We had issues with air conditioning, it was was dripping.

Set very close to many local attractions and also within 15 minutes on foot from royal mile. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our room had a sunny balcony
