Straven Guesthouse

I had a deluxe king room and it was cool with handy fridge. The location was great for cafes and restaurants. The hotel was an easy base for enjoying a stunning area.

The staff was really helpful, and the rooms were bright and huge. Stunning and good location - within walking distance of everywhere we needed. It was about 30 km from the airport.

Rooms were kind of cold.

Everything met expectation, I will choose it for sure next trip. The hotel was clean with friendly and amazing staff, I felt looked after.

The rooms were big with handy fridge, the staff were really helpful. The breakfast spread was incredible with generous portions.

Pity, but the beds were awful.

Beautifully appointed and comfortable hotel, with amicable personnel. Perfect, incredible location short walk to Edinburg or Portobello, the city centre and Portobello beach. Nearby The Marquis of Westminster - great place to chill out.

Had a such wonderful stay with my wife, we spent 7 nights here, everything was excellent. The breakfast served was gorgeous with generous portions. A bus stop was near place.

Large and huge units with a great bed, handy fridge, a great view, and the staff were AMICABLE. The location was ideal and excellent, in the Portobello district and minutes from a bus stop.

TBH, the room was quite cold, we expected better.

The unit we got was huge and spotless with handy fridge, a great bed, a great view. The location was magnificent, around 10-15 minutes walk from Camera Obscura. This hotel was in a local area near Straven Guesthouse as well as Edinburgh...

We got deluxe queen room with handy fridge and thoroughly enjoyed it. The personnel was amicable and amazing, and the host too.

Bright units with handy fridge and amicable staff. Incredible setting, close enough to the seafront, the gorgeous sandy beach, and the cafes. Also, next to the seaside.

Kind of cold room.

Everything was wonderful and met needs well. It was fairly clean, staff was friendly and amazing. The location was magnificent and incredible, a 10-15 minute walk from Camera Obscura. The hotel was in a stunning area, very close to the seaside, the beach and Straven Guesthouse. Had a bright and comfy room with a great bed, a great view, as example, and I couldn't ask for more.

I was happy, the king room I booked came with a great bed, handy fridge plus a great view. A shower, a hair dryer and bath sheets were very handy. The location was ideal and excellent, for example, Portobello Beach was not very far from the hotel. Moreover, it's next to Edinburg or Portobello and beautiful beach.

Have spent our 3 nights here lovely, it was perfect for what we needed. It was spotless and had essentials we needed.

The location was magnificent, near Portobello Swim Centre Swimming Pool. Besides, it was next to the beach as well as the seaside. I was given double room with a work desk, tea/coffee making equipment and a TV set. I could see sea from the room.

We could see garden from the window. Location: the hotel was just off the beach, the sea and Edinburgh. We stayed for 4 nights here, loved Portobello district.
