The stay here was real good on a business trip. Friendly efficient staff, greeted us with such kindness. We stayed in a deluxe king room complete with a very large bathroom and good Scottish breakfast.

Some people working there were not very good.

Comfortable bedroom. Fresh fruit, muffins, pastries, eggs, and fresh bread for breakfast. Super-friendly staff, always with a smile.

High quality food, exceptional service and decent view over back garden. Extremely spacious room with an ironing set, an electric kettle, and a larder, and exceptionally comfortable bed.

I had very comfortable 2-night stay here! Outstandingly accommodating and extremely polite staff with all manner of requests, thanks to them everything was modern. The location was particularly good as for me, close enough to George a Square, centre of student Ville, and the Student pub which had a relaxed & friendly atmosphere & was reasonably priced.

The location was unbeatable and the staff were wonderful. My deluxe twin room was equipped with a trouser press, heating, and a writing table.

The place was peaceful and safe and the staff were superfriendly, the location was incredible to a leisure centre. The deluxe queen room was functional, had an electric kettle, a lounge area, and a writing desk. The breakfast was large and warm, fresh fruit, muffins, pastries, eggs, and bread - all brilliant. In general the service was friendly. We loved staying 2 nights here.

Had real good stay even for more than one night with genuinely helpful staff and easy location in the restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious steak dinner with wine.

We had a deluxe twin room with a view to the greenery. The hotel's location was unbeatable and stunning very close to bus stop also right next to Arthur's seat so great place for walking.

Cheerful place, clean, decent value. Good area, great location, right by city centre and nearby restaurants, a bus stop with convenient timetable and bus options and the bistro which also had great food. Exceptional service overall.

Mentioned hotel met required needs and my stay there was fairly nice. Everything was brand-new from the exceptional service to the high quality food. The room was extremely spacious with big modern bathroom, good value.

Cheap and soundproof units available with comfortable furnishings, bathroom and amazing view of Arthur's Seat. Private parking, fantastic service.

The room was extremely spacious, we will certainly stay here again. This was a fairly nice stay out of town. We loved pastries, eggs, bacon, fresh bread, and fruit the hotel served in the morning.

We were given a deluxe queen room with a really big comfortable bed, a free safe, for example. The location of the property was comfortable, to an isolated loch somewhere in the highlands. The staff was friendly efficient and wonderfully helpful and around most of the time.

A huge variety of reasonably priced options for meal. Unbeatable location, adequate deluxe room with fast wi-fi as well as all the window's.

The location was handy, not far from restaurants of different cultures and the hotel/bistro. Besides, landscaped gardens was 3 km away from the venue.

Chatty staff!

The hotel has really good staff. The breakfast is inclusive and unlimited and fresh fruit, muffins, pastries, eggs, and slices of fresh bread are gorgeous.

The hotel served coffee, tea, cereals, muffins, and breads for breakfast. Well-kept unit on a kingsize bed, we really enjoyed it.

Deluxe double room was airy, the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The food at the full cooked breakfast was outstanding. The check-in was quick, we enjoyed bistro bar. The staff was really good and very pleasant and helped with the free parking.

The hotel had a central location in the centre of Edinburgh & a less than half a hour walk. Plus, a chill cafe was within easy walking distance of the venue. I was there for 2 nights and ate at in-house restaurant with good food.

As for me, the area was uncomfortable.

As for me, this hotel is good value for Edinburgh. Unusual place all in all, has outstandingly accommodating staff with one member of staff on.

Its location was marvellous, close enough to Edinburgh, the Bistro and the centre. Also, we where able to visit a royal park, that was 2 km from the hotel. The deluxe queen room was compact, exceptionally comfortable bed.

Most staff were efficient and knowledgeable, top quality rooms. It was in a central location, 20 to 30 minute walk from old town.

Regarding price, think it's good value for Edinburgh. The property has a convenient location, close to hikes with varied levels of difficulty, there nature, and Holyrood Park.

Overall it was airy with comfortable bed. The service was exceptional, the breakfast was incredible.

Loved neat and airy deluxe queen room with great views, felt like we were home. The location of the hotel was central, adjacent to Edinburgh and the bistro. Also, a historic fortress was 3 km away.

It was a comfortable stay, quiet place. The breakfast was sensational, the staff was pleasant, the grounds were fairly clean.

Central location of this Victorian hotel was a bonus. A laptop safe, central heating and an iron inside the deluxe double room were handy.

Had great stay for a weekend in Edinburgh. We booked huge deluxe room with great views and could use wake-up service, available in it.

The hotel staff was courteous and exceptional. The location was marvellous, next to a greaT pub as well and Holyrood Park and the city centre and easily accessible.

The units were huge and airy with good selection of hot drinks. The location is brilliant, 1 km from a combined museum.

The deluxe queen room is soundproof with very comfortable bed, tea, for example. The venue is placed in a central position close to Hollyrood park.

I liked it, recommendable. My stay was excellent for a weekend in Edinburgh. Pleasant and accommodating staff who were always there to help. The location was central, stunning in a nice quiet area. Besides, it was close to the restaurant, Edinburgh Zoo, taxi. Having different hot drinks in the downstairs bar was a very nice touch.

the venue was always fairly clean, had very good staff and rooms. the unit we got was spotless and huge with very comfortable bed, modern bathroom, for instance. overall really comfortable stay for a weekend in edinburgh.

Was a vacation base for weekend. A nice hotel with helpful staff and a tasty breakfast. We liked our good sized room. Newington district wo n't disappoint you. Proximity to the airport, just 9 miles.

Communication was challenging, wi-fi wasn't great.

It deserves its 4 stars. The bed was comfy and the staff friendly. Plus, it was good to have free Wi Fi. 20 mins walk to the center.
