Old Waverley Hotel

The breakfast at the place was nice hot with a great view into the city. The venue was in a central location near to Princes Street, near to both Waverley station and St Andrew's Sq, all attractions and transport links, and the bus stops and the tram stops.

The hotel's location was very central, to everything in the city. The staff was lovely and we could use wake up service and ironing free of charge.

Views were not so great.

My stay was good value. The hotel is fairly large and fairly clean with a nice restaurant, I had a good stay. Close to a bus station, the location was wonderful and premier. This property was set in a very comfortable area. The breakfast was savoury and delicious with great views, all the food was outstanding.

It was delightful, stunning and with 3 beds. The location near to all transport links was unbeatable and brilliant.

The hotel was situated in the very central location near the tram stop for the airport. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good choice of great food.

Our standard double room was complete with beyond comfortable beds, a great view, as example. It was in a marvellous location in front of the Waverley train station. Also, St George's Hall Liverpool was at a short distance.

The location was unbeatable and brilliant for me, right opposite Waverley station. The management was lovely, as well as the staff. The bathroom in my double room was newly renovated.

Delicious breakfast, great food, fairly priced. Particularly good and stunning location because of the trams etc and easy access to the Christmas market and a market. 5 minutes walk to a national gallery.

A lovely old fashioned and reasonably priced hotel with central location. Good hot breakfast with a great view, yogurt plus cornflakes and very good customer service. Adjacent to the train station, that's cool.

Double room is high-class, has a luxurious bathroom. The breakfast is savoury and delicious and the views of the castle are superb. Special thanks to very attentive and attentive staff for making my stay a really nice experience.

I got tasty breakfast with yogurt, non hot food plus croissants. It had a great location next to bus stop across the road and the important areas.

Possibly the best and just perfect stay for an overnight or short holiday. Very comfortable building, extremely pleasant and tastefully decorated rooms. Absolutely superb views of the castle. Very pleasant area, central location close enough to restaurants, shopping, buses, and historical sites like the castle, all public transport and the major attractions. Plus, walking distance to a memorial park.

Comfortable bedroom. Marvellous location in a central area, right by the Holyrood Palace, very close to the train station and Assembly venue around the corner. Plus, walking distance to St George's Hall Liverpool.

Good and unbeatable location in walking distance from all the historical sites, good restaurants in the local area. Big bedroom. Delicious breakfast, exceptional services.

I appreciated the room and its traditional decor. The staff were outstandingly accommodating, I was offered a super breakfast.

Ideal and nice location exactly where we wanted to be adjacent to the train station. Friendly professional and hard-working staff did a great job. The room we booked was brand-new and reasonably priced with a view over Princes St and toiletries in bathroom plus the bar as described.

There was no elevator which we expected.

Large room with a window looking over Edinburgh instead of a metal staircase, fantastic view past Scott Memorial to the Castle plus 2 single beds. Excellent food for savoury breakfast with view to Scott monument.

This hotel was really good value. The venue was nicely appointed and extremely comfy, I enjoyed the location not far from shops restaurants, the railwaystation and the Old mile and all transport and shops, and castle views. Had wonderful and premier location opposite the railway station. High quality double room and the bed was comfortable.

Enjoyed the location that was comfortable and premier and short walk to the main rail station as well as Edinburgh Waverley, the main train station. I had coffee at Hard Rock Cafe, located within 5 minutes walk. My standard double room was brand-new, reasonably priced. Everything was really good, including hot breakfasts with yogurt and croissants and view to Scott monument.

It was really good value. The hotel was luxurious with delicious breakfasts. The staff were caring and top-class during 4 nights we stayed there.

The location was marvellous and incredible, next to Co-op Food. The staff was accommodating, affable, and everything was very good.

I had really lovely days staying at this old-fashioned hotel. The staff was accommodating, pleasant with every request. The location was unbeatable as it was adjacent to the train station.

It was in a very central setting right in the centre of town.

The room was neat with bath and shower, 1 comfy chair, for example for a VERY ENJOYABLE stay. The staff was efficient and excellent and catered to my every need. The location was stunning and brilliant, relatively near a Leith street.

We were travelling to Edinburgh for a short stay. Truly enjoyed that they had onsite restaurant Cranstons, no need to go somewhere else.

Hotel's adjacent to tourist spots like scott monument. Merchiston neighborhood was worth exploring. We had no problems with free WiFi.
